After a quick stop in Burns, OR we made it to Bend and Sara😍. We stayed at 2 different campgrounds, Bend-Sunriver was closer to Sara so we got to see her a lot. We floated down the Deschutes River (no photos, we couldn't manage a camera on the river), hung out in Drake's Park, climbed Mount Tumalo 😳, ate some great food and still had time to just be together at the campsite.

 We were able to get a spot in Grand Canyon National park by luck, grace and maybe good deed done by another. As a result, we worked on our boondocking skills to camp off grid. We're learning as we go. Great fun and we enjoyed the beauty this place has to offer. Gods creation in the most awe inspiring form.

Kentucky

We had a good time in Grand River MO. It is a quaint little town centered around an 1880's settlement called Patti's. Land between the lakes is beautiful!  There was a (abandoned? - see photo)  bike/walking path beside the campground. We enjoyed both biking and walking there. the campers we met were friendly and had great advice for newbies. On to Missouri today. Driving some back roads and some interstates. We drove over two BIG, OLD bridges where the Ohio river meets the Mississippi. It was pretty awesome. We are a couple of hours from our destination, enjoying the scenery and looking for a DQ!
