What a lovely surprise after being in the desert for sooooo long!

We were right on the Snake River with beautiful sunsets, grass, and fresh breezes, even though it was hot. 
and there were beans... miles and miles of beans.

We had a good time in Grand River MO. It is a quaint little town centered around an 1880's settlement called Patti's. Land between the lakes is beautiful!  There was a (abandoned? - see photo)  bike/walking path beside the campground. We enjoyed both biking and walking there. the campers we met were friendly and had great advice for newbies. On to Missouri today. Driving some back roads and some interstates. We drove over two BIG, OLD bridges where the Ohio river meets the Mississippi. It was pretty awesome. We are a couple of hours from our destination, enjoying the scenery and looking for a DQ!
