 Trees trees, big beautiful trees. Most, if not all of the traveling we have done to this point has been in the desert, heat and dust with some small exceptions in Bend. It was so nice to see greenery and the wonder of the redwoods. We dropped 40-50 degrees in temperature by the time we arrived at the campground that evening. So very beautiful to walk in the forest amongst these giants. Ellie proved once again that she is a hiker climbing logs and scurrying down the trails. The campground also had large trees and some of the redwoods.

What a lovely surprise after being in the desert for sooooo long! We were right on the Snake River with beautiful sunsets, grass, and fresh breezes, even though it was hot.  and there were beans... miles and miles of beans.

After a quick stop in Burns, OR we made it to Bend and Sara😍. We stayed at 2 different campgrounds, Bend-Sunriver was closer to Sara so we got to see her a lot. We floated down the Deschutes River (no photos, we couldn't manage a camera on the river), hung out in Drake's Park, climbed Mount Tumalo 😳, ate some great food and still had time to just be together at the campsite.
